This course prepares California grade 11 students for the CAASPP English Language Arts/Literacy assessment with instruction that teaches the underlying standards, not just test tricks. It covers the assessment blueprint, reporting categories, item types, and performance expectations, then moves through a complete sequence of reading, language, research, listening, and writing skills with guided practice, independent practice, timed drills, and full review.
Students begin with diagnostic work in reading, language, research, listening, and evidence-based writing. They use the results to build a personal study plan and mistake log, then work through targeted lessons that strengthen weak standards and improve accuracy on state-test-style questions.
