Hey! I'm Jada, and I have a technology-based approach to hook the minds of youth who are into games, YouTube videos, and interactives. I utilize ClassDojo for younger audiences, with a point system involved for prizes for good grades; interactive slideshows and educational gameplay to target specific rooms for growth, and even pen-&-paper activities for students to complete and show me afterward. I've found it most effective to teach students when they are actively engaged by what interests them; in order to discover their interests, we go through a quick questionnaire together, take a personality test, and a learning-types quiz... all of these things allow me to further understand my student. Of course, if time is short, I will email the parent and student these quizzes, while we learn as we go on our sessions together!
